The wines of Domaine François Parent: buy at the best price

François Parent joined his vineyard in 1998 with that of Anne Françoise Gros, now known as AF Gros for Anne and François Gros. They now farm together 10 hectares of vines. They live in Pommard, but the cellars, winery and production facilities are located in Beaune. The vinification is the same for all appellations. Differences arise during the ageing process in the cellar, with varying proportions of new barrels depending on the cuvée. The village wines and premier crus, depending on the vintage, are aged in 40 to 60% new barrels. Pride of place is given to "Berthomieu"-type barrels, complemented by Rousseau barrels with a heavy toast. The domaine has notably built a fine reputation with the Pommard premier crus Arvelets, Clos du Verger, Pezerolles and Rugiens.
