Wines from Domaine de Courcel: buy at the best price

The Domaine de Courcel, still today owned and operated by the founding family, has always produced wines characterized by great density and a rare tannic intensity for the Côte de Beaune. Advised by oenologist Yves Confuron since 1996, it is managed entirely through organic farming and in a manner that keeps yields tightly controlled (25 hl/ha). The aging of the wines takes place in carefully selected oak barrels, the stock of which is renewed by one third each year. After an extended extraction of approximately one month, the wines are aged for a period of 21 to 23 months. At the end of this period and after racking, the wines are bottled without any treatment (no fining, no filtering, no acidity correction). The estate produces seven different wines from climats located exclusively in Pommard, four of which carry the Pommard Premier Cru appellation and represent more than 75% of the total surface area. Among these, one can cite the 1er Cru Grands Clos des Epenots, les Rugiens, les Frémiers, and les Croix Noires.
