Wines from the De Montille estate: buy at the best price
The De Montille estate, based in Volnay, now farms a vineyard of 22 hectares, predominantly Premiers and Grands Crus, on the Côte de Beaune, but also a little in the Côte de Nuits, producing around 8,000 cases across nearly 20 appellations. It took its name in 1863, while having to part with its finest parcels of the time: Musigny, Bonnes Mares and Chambolle Musigny Premier Cru Les Amoureuses. In 1947, Hubert de Montille's first harvest coincided with the abandonment of selling wines through the négociant trade. Since 1983, Etienne De Montille has worked first alongside his father, and since 1995 he has progressively taken the reins of the estate (as well as those of Château de Puligny Montrachet for white wines) and also created the Maison Deux Montille Sœur Frère (95% white wines).
