In total, the Domaine Tremblay Cecile offers no fewer than 11 appellations, but in very limited quantities. It seems that the Domaine Cecile Tremblay may soon be able to recover a few additional hectares of vines whose leases are coming to an end.

In fact, Cécile Tremblay is the great-niece of Henri Jayer, and at the age of 26, she set up on her own in 2003, starting from a heritage of vines inherited from her grandparents. The entire Cecile Tremblay estate is farmed organically and a large part of the soils are worked with a draught horse. An accomplished winemaker and an exceptional taster, Cecile Tremblay quickly established her own style after a series of perfectly successful vintages, and she stands out among the leading estates of the Côte de Nuits. With the utmost care, the grapes from the vineyard are harvested in small 5 kg crates, sorted, and vinified as whole bunches. The style of the wines from the Cécile Tremblay estate is based on finesse, an airy and sensual quality with velvety textures. The precision of the finishes and the delicacy of the aromas are exceptional. Of course, it is very difficult to obtain bottles given the rarity of the cuvées, and the fact that Cécile Tremblay rigorously selects her distribution channels, but from the "simple" Vosne-Romanée village wine all the way up to the Chapelle-Chambertin, the wines of the Cecile Tremblay estate have become unmissable references. The Morey-St-Denis from Cecile Tremblay is pure and fragrant, endowed with great finesse. The Chambolle Musigny from Cecile Tremblay is fuller-bodied. The Vosne Romanée from Cecile Tremblay has superior density. The Vosne-Romanée 1er cru Les Rouges du Dessus from Cécile Tremblay offers great transparency of flavours, with remarkable purity, yet is built for ageing. The Vosne Romanée 1er cru les Beaumonts is particularly floral and refined, with great seductive appeal. The Grand Cru Echezeaux from Cecile Tremblay proves particularly distinguished, terroir-driven and pure, with volume and a particularly full-bodied, harmonious palate of great length. Finally, the Chapelle-Chambertin is magnificent, with notes of rose and blood orange, very pure and fresh, with fine tannins and all-round delicacy.
