Griotte-Chambertin, located in Gevrey-Chambertin in the Côte de Nuits, Burgundy, is an exceptional red wine from a 2.7-hectare parcel, the smallest of the nine Grands Crus in the commune. Nestled at 240-280 meters altitude with an east/southeast exposure, this unique terroir rests on limestone-clay soil, mixing marls, gravelly silts and outcropping hard rock, favoring optimal concentration of the grapes. Produced from Pinot Noir, Griotte-Chambertin produces approximately 96 hectoliters per year, or 12,768 bottles, reinforcing its rarity. This Grand Cru captivates with its elegance, power and complex aromas of morello cherry, raspberry, violet, spices, evolving towards notes of undergrowth, leather and truffle after aging. On the palate, it reveals a silky structure, fine tannins and beautiful length, with aging potential often exceeding 15 or 20 years in great vintages.
