The Thierry Allemand Cornas Chaillot 2021, sourced from the granitic soils of Cornas, is a naturally vinified Syrah. Floral and fruity, with notes of blackberry and liquorice, it offers a structured, mineral and elegant palate. Perfect for cellaring until 2030 or to enjoy with slow-cooked dishes.
A discreet and respected vigneron from Cornas, Thierry Allemand has perpetuated an artisanal heritage since 1982 on the steep slopes of the northern Rhône.
- Terroir : 5 hectares of terraced vines, shaped by granitic and calcareous soils of the Cornas appellation, where Syrah draws its minerality and tension.
- Vinification : Natural methods – slow macerations, aging in barrels and large oak vats – for wines of uncompromising purity and terroir expression.
Tasting notes for the wine Thierry Allemand Cornas Chaillot 2021
- In the glass : Robe of a deep red with violet highlights, of a silky density and crystalline brilliance.
- On the nose : Aromas of fresh violet and wild blackberry intertwine with deeper notes of liquorice and black tea, lifted by a saline touch and a hint of graphite.
- On the palate : Velvety and taut texture, where lively acidity and chalky minerality support fine tannins and a long finish, carried by sweet spices and a persistent salinity.
Serve at 16°C in a red Burgundy-style wine glass to reveal its full complexity.
