The Calon Ségur 1998, 3ème Grand Cru Classé de Saint-Estèphe, is born from gravelly and clay soils. Aged in oak barrels, it reveals aromas of dark fruits and spices, a balanced palate and a mineral finish. Ideal until 2033 with red meats or cheeses.

Tasting notes for Château Calon-Ségur Calon Ségur 1998
To the eye: Garnet red robe with brick-red hints, of silky density and crystalline brilliance.
On the nose: Aromas of ripe blackcurrant, wild blackberry, cedar and blond tobacco, lifted by a saline touch and a hint of graphite.
On the palate: Velvety and taut texture, carried by a vibrant acidity and a chalky minerality, with a long, persistent finish marked by notes of liquorice and gentle spices.
Serve at 16–18°C in a Bordeaux glass to fully release its aromas.

A vintage marked by optimal ripeness of the grapes, offering a perfect balance between power and finesse.
- Aging potential: To enjoy until 2033, provided it is stored in a cool cellar and away from light.
