Nestled in the heart of Saint-Estèphe, this iconic estate has embodied Bordeaux excellence for two centuries, combining tradition and innovation.
- Terroir : 91 hectares of fine gravels and limestone, typical of the Saint-Estèphe appellation, conferring a distinctive minerality and an elegant structure to the wines.
- Vinification : A precise blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, aged in new oak barriques for a harmony between power and finesse.
Tasting notes for Cos d'Estournel 2012
- To the eye : A deep red robe with garnet highlights, of a silky density and crystalline brilliance.
- On the nose : A complex bouquet where notes of wild blackberry, ripe blackcurrant, a touch of graphite and a subtle chalky minerality mingle, elevated by a saline hint.
- On the palate : A broad and velvety attack, carried by a lively acidity and precise tannins, while a long and taut finish reveals accents of flint and sweet spices.
Serve at 16–18°C in a Bordeaux glass to fully release its aromas.

A vintage marked by balanced ripeness, where cool nights preserved the elegance of the tannins and the purity of the fruit.
