Nestled in the heart of Saint-Estèphe, this legendary estate has embodied Bordeaux excellence since the 19th century, combining tradition and precision.
- Terroir : The gravelly and clay-limestone soils of the Saint-Estèphe appellation, shaping wines of mineral structure and rare depth.
- Vinification : A meticulous craftsmanship, where the balance between power and elegance guides each cuvée, in respect of the terroir.
Tasting notes for Château Cos d'Estournel 1951
- To the eye : A garnet red robe with tawny reflections, of silky density, betraying its age with discreet elegance.
- On the nose : A complex bouquet where aromas of cedar, blonde tobacco, candied black fruits and a hint of undergrowth intertwine, lifted by a subtle mineral note.
- On the palate : A velvety texture, carried by a lively acidity and a chalky minerality, stretching into a long, saline finish where the memory of the terroir lingers.
Serve at 16–18°C in a Bordeaux glass to fully release its nuances.
