Tasting notes for the Domaine de la Romanée-Conti Echezeaux Grand Cru 2021
To the eye: Garnet red robe with silky reflections, of elegant density and crystalline brilliance.
On the nose: Aromas of black cherry, violet and liquorice, followed by a touch of damp undergrowth and a subtle chalky note, evoking the limestone soils of the appellation.
On the palate: Velvety and taut texture, carried by a lively acidity and a saline minerality, with a long and harmonious finish where sweet spices and ripe fruits intertwine.
Serve at 14–16°C in a Burgundy glass to reveal its full finesse.
Vintage 2021
A vintage marked by climatic challenges, offering wines of remarkable precision despite reduced yields.
- Aging potential: To be kept 15 to 25 years in a cool cellar (12–14°C) and away from light.
