The Côteaux Bourguignons 2023 from Domaine Dominique Laurent blends Pinot Noir and Gamay from the Burgundy hillsides. Raspberry and cherry dominate a fresh nose, while the palate, lively and silky, reveals a chalky minerality. Perfect for 3 to 5 years of cellaring, it pairs beautifully with meats and cheeses.
An estate where Burgundy expresses itself with precision, rooted in respect for its terroirs and historic grape varieties.
- Terroir: clay-limestone and marly soils of the Côteaux Bourguignons, between the communes of Nuits-Saint-Georges, Marsannay and Chorey-lès-Beaune, where Gamay and Pinot Noir draw their minerality.
- Vinification: carefully aged in barrels, favouring tension and purity of fruit, without artifice.
To the eye: a ruby robe with garnet reflections, of a silky and luminous density.
On the nose: raspberry and fresh cherry open onto notes of wild strawberry, then give way to a hint of supple leather and a saline touch, like a breath of damp undergrowth.
On the palate: a velvety texture, carried by a lively acidity and a chalky minerality, stretching into a taut and persistent finish.
Serve between 14 and 16°C, in a Burgundy glass to release its aromas.
A vintage marked by beautiful freshness, where the grape varieties ripened under a balanced climate, preserving their vivacity and structure.
- Ageing potential: to enjoy now or to cellar for 5 to 8 years, in a cool, dark cellar away from light.
