The Prieuré Roch 2022, from the Côteaux Bourguignons, blends Gamay and Pinot Noir on clay-limestone soils. Aged with whole clusters, this wine offers aromas of red fruits and a peppery edge. Fresh and mineral, it pairs with meats and cheeses for 3 to 5 years of cellaring.
Domaine Prieuré Roch
Nestled in the heart of the Côte d'Or, this family estate embodies the demands of an exceptional terroir, where tradition and modernity unite under the sign of purity.
- Terroir: Clay-limestone and marly soils, between Nuits-Saint-Georges and the Burgundian hillsides, shaping wines of vibrant minerality and rare elegance.
- Winemaking: A minimalist approach – whole clusters, indigenous yeasts and reduced intervention – to reveal the authenticity of the fruit and the tension of the terroir.
Tasting notes for Domaine Prieuré Roch Côteaux Bourguignons 2022
Eye: A deep ruby robe with garnet reflections, silky and luminous in texture, like liquid velvet capturing the light.
Nose: A fresh and precise bouquet where morello cherry, wild raspberry and a hint of peony intertwine, followed by deeper notes of licorice and flint, carried by a subtle iodized salinity.
Palate: A lively and taut attack, where chiseled acidity meets a full and chalky texture, before a long and mineral finish marked by fine tannins and saline persistence.
Serve between 14 and 16°C in a Burgundy glass to bring out its complexity.
Vintage 2022
A sunny yet balanced vintage, where the summer heat preserved a beautiful freshness, delivering wines of vibrant energy and harmonious ripeness.
- Aging potential: To enjoy now or to keep for 5 to 8 years under optimal conditions (cool and humid cellar, away from light).
