The Chambertin Grand Cru 2017 by Dominique Laurent, crafted from old Pinot Noir vines, expresses the limestone soils of Gevrey-Chambertin. Vinified in oak barrels, it reveals aromas of red fruits and spices. The palate, silky and precise, balances freshness and structure. To be enjoyed from 2025.
A négociant-vigneron rooted in the Côte de Nuits, the domaine perpetuates a family heritage in which respect for the terroir is paramount.
- Terroir: Limestone soils of Chambertin, an emblematic Grand Cru of Gevrey-Chambertin, where minerality expresses itself with precision.
- Vinification: Natural method, without sulphur, aged in new oak barrels for a pure and taut expression of Pinot Noir.
To the eye: Deep garnet robe with silky reflections, a chalky density that heralds its structure.
On the nose: Aromas of fresh morello cherry, faded rose, soft liquorice and damp undergrowth, lifted by a saline touch and a hint of graphite.
On the palate: Velvety and taut texture, carried by a lively acidity and a calcareous minerality, with a long and elegant finish marked by notes of black cherry and white pepper.
Serve at 14-16°C in a Burgundy glass to release its nuances.
A well-balanced vintage, where the freshness and ripeness of the grapes come together in harmony.
- Ageing potential: To be cellared until 2042 in a cellar at 12-15°C, away from light and vibrations.
