Tasting notes for the wine Domaine Trapet Père et Fils Chambertin Grand Cru 2000
To the eye: Garnet red robe with tawny highlights, of a silky and deep texture, betraying an accomplished maturity.
On the nose: Aromas of candied black cherry, damp undergrowth, liquorice and truffle, lifted by a saline touch and a chalky minerality characteristic of the great terroirs of Chambertin.
On the palate: A velvety attack, supported by a lively acidity and a mineral tension that stretches into a long and elegant finish, where ripe fruits and soft spices intertwine.
Serve between 14 and 16°C, in a Burgundy glass to release all its complexity.
Vintage 2000
A generous vintage, marked by an early maturity and silky tannins, ideal for wines with ageing potential.
- Ageing potential : To drink now or to keep until 2030, under optimal conditions (stable temperature, controlled humidity and away from light).
