Château Léoville Barton Nestled at the heart of the Saint-Julien appellation, this family estate has embodied the excellence of the Médoc's classified growths since 1826. - Terroir: Garonne gravel, gravelly and clay-limestone soils – a mineral setting that imparts tension and elegance to the wines. - Vinification: A traditional blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc, patiently aged in French oak barrels for a precise and silky structure.
Tasting notes for Château Léoville Barton 1975 To the eye – A garnet red robe with tile-red hues, still vivid, revealing a dense texture and a slight chalky brilliance. On the nose – First fresh aromas of blackcurrant and violet, then deeper notes of cedar, blonde tobacco and dried herbs, lifted by a saline touch and a hint of roasted coffee. On the palate – A silky attack, carried by a taut acidity and a stony minerality, stretching into a long and elegant finish where candied fruits and soft spices intertwine. Serve at 16–18°C in a Bordeaux glass to release its full complexity.
