Montcalmès Le M 2021 from Domaine de Montcalmès is a Mourvèdre aged for 24 months in oak barrels. Grown on the clay-limestone soils of Puéchabon, it charms with its ruby color, aromas of dark fruit and spice, and a silky, fresh palate. Perfect with slow-cooked dishes from 2025 onward.
Nestled in the heart of the Terrasses du Larzac, this estate, founded in 1999 by Frédéric Pourtalié, embodies a commitment to exceptional terroir, with each cuvée reflecting the mineral, sun-drenched character of the Languedoc.
- Terroir: The clay-limestone soils of Puéchabon, where altitude and cool nights shape wines of rare tension, balancing power and elegance.
- Winemaking: Hand harvesting and patient aging in Burgundy barrels and demi-muids produce wines that combine precision with depth.
