Nestled in the heart of the Terrasses du Larzac, this family estate has embodied the exacting standards and finesse of Languedoc wines since 1998.
- Terroir: 22 hectares spread across Puéchabon, Aniane, Saint-Jean-de-Fos and Saint-Saturnin-de-Lucian, where the Terrasses du Larzac appellation shapes wines of great precision.
- Winemaking: Grape varieties vinified separately, aged in oak barrels with native yeasts, producing balanced wines of depth.
Tasting notes for Domaine de Montcalmès Montcalmès Terrasses du Larzac 2020
In the glass: Deep red with garnet highlights, silky and dense.
On the nose: Blackcurrant and blackberry aromas intertwine with musk, gentle spices and a mineral touch reminiscent of the terroir’s warm stones.
On the palate: A full, structured opening, with silky tannins, lively acidity and a long finish blending licorice, dark fruit and subtle salinity.
Serve at 16–18°C in a Bordeaux-style red wine glass to reveal its full complexity.
