Tasting notes for Château Pape Clément Pape Clément 1968
In the glass: Deep garnet red robe with tawny highlights, of velvety density and a brilliance subtly softened by time.
On the nose: Aromas of candied black cherry, blonde tobacco, cedar and undergrowth, lifted by a saline touch and a hint of licorice.
On the palate: Smooth and taut texture, carried by a lively acidity and a chalky minerality, with a long, spiced finish where notes of leather and dried fruits intertwine.
Serve at 16–18°C in a Bordeaux glass to fully release its nuances.
