The Vosne-Romanée 1er Cru Les Suchots 2023 from Domaine Sylvain Cathiard draws its character from the clay-limestone soils of the Côte de Nuits. This Pinot Noir, aged in new oak barrels, reveals aromas of red fruits and spices, with a distinctive minerality. On the palate, its silky texture and freshness balance fine tannins. To be kept 7 to 10 years, it pairs with roast lamb or mushrooms.

To the eye – A deep ruby robe, of a silky and luminous texture, heralding a texture that is both dense and airy.
On the nose – A bouquet of fresh black cherry, tangy raspberry, then notes of violet and liquorice, lifted by a chalky touch and a subtle salinity.
On the palate – A lively and precise attack, carried by a taut acidity and a chalky minerality, while the filigreed tannins envelop a long and saline finish.
Serve at 14–16°C in a Burgundy glass to bring out its full complexity.
