From the clay-limestone soils of Bandol, La Tourtine 2023 by Domaine Tempier blends Mourvèdre (85%), Grenache and Cinsault. Aged for 18 months in large oak casks, it offers black fruit and spice aromas, a structured palate and a saline finish. Perfect with game or cheese.
This Bandol wine estate, historically associated with Lucien Peyraud, embodies the Mediterranean spirit through wines shaped by wind and sun.
- Terroir: Sandstone and Santonian marl soils, with gypsum at the surface, on the sunny slopes of Castellet—a mineral setting where Mourvèdre thrives.
- Winemaking: Fermentation in concrete tanks, aging in large oak casks and the use of indigenous yeasts for a pure expression of the terroir.

- Palate: A full-bodied opening, driven by ripe tannins and lively acidity, unfolds into a long, savory finish marked by sweet spices and chalky minerality.
Serve at 16–18°C in a Bordeaux-style red wine glass to release its full complexity.
