From the limestone slopes of Beausset Vieux, Tempier Bandol La Migoua 2023 from Domaine Tempier blends Mourvèdre (55%), Cinsault and Grenache. The nose offers dark fruit and garrigue; the palate brings chalky tannins and mineral freshness. Aged 18 months in large oak casks, this age-worthy wine (5–20 years) pairs beautifully with herb-roasted lamb.
An iconic Bandol producer, Domaine Tempier brings together an exceptional terroir and winemaking rooted in Provençal traditions.
- Terroir: The vines take root on the limestone and dolomitic slopes of Beausset Vieux, at an elevation of 300 meters, where the garrigue and varied exposures shape wines with distinctive minerality.
- Winemaking: Hand-harvested grapes, fermentation in concrete tanks with native yeasts, and extended aging in large oak casks to reveal the purity of Mourvèdre and the complexity of the blends.
