The Vincent Gaudry estate, located in Sury-en-Vaux in the Sancerre region of the Loire Valley, is led by Vincent Gaudry, a winemaker committed to biodynamics since 1993. Across 11 hectares of limestone and flint soils, he nurtures his vines meticulously to elevate the Sancerre appellation. The Mélodie de Vieilles Vignes 2022 cuvée, a still white wine, is crafted entirely from Sauvignon Blanc from vines over 50 years old, vinified in stainless steel tanks and barrels for a balance of freshness and complexity.
On tasting, this wine reveals a brilliant pale gold hue and an intense nose of grapefruit, white flowers, and gunflint, with a herbaceous hint. On the palate, it delivers a full texture, lively acidity, and a mineral finish, marked by lime and flint notes.
