All wines from the Saint Veran appellation in Burgundy
The Saint-Véran appellation, nestled in the heart of the Mâconnais in Burgundy, is an AOC renowned for its white wines exclusively made from the Chardonnay grape. Created in 1971, it extends over approximately 680 hectares across eight communes: Davayé, Prissé, Solutré-Pouilly, Vergisson, Chânes, Chasselas, Leynes and Saint-Vérand. The limestone and marl soils of the region give Saint-Véran wines distinctive aromas: mineral, floral, and fruity notes (citrus, white-fleshed fruits). Although the appellation has no Premier Crus, certain prestigious lieu-dits such as "En Crèches" or "Les Terres Noires" are recognized for their exceptional quality. Appreciated for their freshness, elegance and excellent value for money, Saint-Véran white wines appeal to Burgundy enthusiasts.
