The Bonnes Mares Grand Cru 2020 from Domaine Comte Georges de Vogüé is a Pinot Noir sourced from the clay-limestone soils of Bonnes Mares. Notes of black cherries and iodine on the nose, a dense and silky palate with black fruits, lactic touches and minerality. Perfect after 2030 with game.
A legendary estate, rooted in the sacred hillsides of Chambolle-Musigny for nearly six centuries.
- Terroir: Clay-limestone and marl soils of the Côte de Nuits, the cradle of Burgundy's most prestigious Grand Crus – Bonnes-Mares and Musigny leading the way.
- Vinification: Traditional elaboration, aged in oak barrels for a pure and structured expression of Pinot Noir, without artifice.
Tasting notes for Domaine Comte Georges de Vogüé Bonnes-Mares Grand Cru 2020
To the eye: A deep red robe with garnet highlights, of a silky density and mineral brilliance that already heralds its complexity.
On the nose: Initially reserved, it opens up on aromas of ripe black cherry and fresh peony, then deepens toward notes of iodine, ink and a saline touch that evokes the chalky subsoils of its terroir.
On the palate: A dense and velvety texture, carried by a lively acidity and a chalky minerality, where black fruits, lactic nuances and a hint of dark chocolate intertwine, leading to a long and structured finish.
Serve between 16 and 18°C in a Burgundy glass to release all of its aromatic precision.
