The Bonnes Mares 2023 from Domaine Jacques-Frédéric Mugnier is a Pinot Noir Grand Cru born on a clay-limestone terroir in the Côte de Nuits. Nose of dark fruits, violet and chalky minerality. Silky palate, fine tannins and a saline finish. To enjoy until 2035 with game or aged cheeses.
A family estate rooted in Chambolle-Musigny, where limestone dictates the elegance of the wines.
- Terroir: clay-limestone soils of the Côte de Nuits, the cradle of Burgundy's most precise Grand Crus.
- Vinification: respect for indigenous yeasts and measured ageing to reveal the purity of Pinot Noir.
Tasting notes for Domaine Jacques-Frédéric Mugnier Bonnes Mares 2023
To the eye – a deep purple robe with garnet reflections, of silky and luminous density.
On the nose – aromas of black cherry and wild blackberry intertwine with notes of fresh violet, then evolve towards touches of damp undergrowth, gentle spices and candied orange zest, all underlined by a chalky minerality.
On the palate – a velvety and taut texture, carried by a lively acidity and a subtle salinity, while the fine tannins stretch into a long, mineral finish.
Serve between 14 and 16°C in a Burgundy glass to bring out its full complexity.
