Tasting notes for Mas de Daumas Gassac Rouge 2022
Appearance – Deep red with garnet highlights, silky depth and a brilliance that already hints at the wine’s complexity.
On the nose – First come aromas of dark wild berries and ripe blackberry, followed by floral notes of violet, then a spicy, slightly gamey touch, all underpinned by chalky minerality.
On the palate – A velvety yet taut texture, where lively acidity and powdery tannins balance a long finish marked by subtle salinity and a wild touch.
Serve at 16–18°C in a Bordeaux-style red wine glass to fully release its aromas.
2022 vintage
A vintage combining concentrated fruit with balanced structure, typical of the great wines of the Languedoc.
- Aging potential: Enjoy now for its generous fruit, or cellar for up to 20 years under optimal conditions in a cool, dark cellar.
