The Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Champs Gain 2022 from Domaine François Carillon, born on clay-limestone soils, expresses citrus fruits, white flowers and saline minerality. A lively and silky palate, chalky finish. Perfect through 2042 with fish dishes.
Heir to a winegrowing lineage dating back to the 16th century in Puligny-Montrachet, this family estate embodies the elegance of the great white wines of Burgundy.
- Terroir : Clay-limestone soils of the Côte de Beaune, the birthplace of the most precise and mineral Chardonnays.
- Winemaking : Aged in oak barrels (including a moderate proportion of new wood) with light lees stirring for a silky tension and aromatic purity.
To the eye: Pale yellow robe with golden highlights, of crystalline clarity and an almost silky texture.
On the nose: Aromas of lime and green apple, followed by white flowers and a hint of toasted hazelnut, all underscored by a saline and chalky minerality.
On the palate: A lively and precise attack, carried by a taut acidity and a refined texture, with a long and saline finish where freshness and elegance intertwine.
Serve between 12 and 13°C in a white Burgundy wine glass to reveal its full complexity.
A vintage marked by balanced ripeness, where the freshness and minerality of the Puligny-Montrachet terroirs express themselves with remarkable precision.
- Ageing potential : To be kept until 2042 under optimal conditions (cool and humid cellar, away from light).
