The heir to a family tradition dating back to the 16th century, this estate today cultivates approximately 16 hectares of vines spread across the prestigious villages of Puligny-Montrachet, Chassagne-Montrachet and Saint-Aubin. Primarily devoted to Chardonnay, complemented by Aligoté and Pinot Noir, it produces cuvées of remarkable finesse, including a Chevalier-Montrachet Grand Cru that ranks among the pinnacles of Burgundy. The TOP winemakers of Burgundy

In red, the St-Aubin 1er Cru Les Pitangerets is a rather easy-drinking wine that can be cellared for 3 to 5 years. In white, the Chevalier-Montrachet cuvée is very powerful yet refined and taut, elegant and very long. It can be cellared for 8 to 12 years. The three Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru cuvées (Chenevottes, Macherelles and Clos St-Jean) are full, dense, broader and more generous. They can age for a minimum of 10 years. Domaine François Carillon also offers five cuvées in Puligny-Montrachet 1ers Crus (Les Perrières, Champs Gains, Folatières and Les Combettes) and villages (including 1 named site, les Enseignères). The Les Perrières cuvée is very straight and pure. Les Combettes are sumptuous in their intensity, length and energy. In terms of aging, the 1er Crus can be cellared for 6 to 10 years and the villages wines for 4 to 6 years. Note the best vintages of Domaine François Carillon: 2014, 2012, 2010, 2008, 2005, 2002. The Carillon estate receives an excellent review in the RVF green guide (2 stars) and 3 stars out of 5 in the Bettane & Desseauve guide.
