The Jacquesson Dizy 1er Cru Corne Bautray 2014, Blanc de Blancs from the clay-chalk slopes of Dizy, combines mineral freshness with aromas of white flowers. Its lively and saline palate, of taut elegance, pairs beautifully with seafood or can be cellared for 5 to 10 years.
A family house founded in 1798, Jacquesson embodies exacting standards and faithfulness to the Champagne terroir, where each cuvée reveals the soul of a place.
- Terroir : The hillsides of Dizy, in Premier Cru, where clay-chalk soils and ideal exposure sculpt chardonnays of vibrant minerality.
- Winemaking : A single-vineyard approach, fermentation in barrels and minimal dosage to preserve the purity of the fruit and the tension of the terroir.
Tasting notes for the Jacquesson Dizy 1er Cru Corne Bautray 2014 wine
To the eye – A pale gold robe with green highlights, of silky clarity, traversed by a cord of fine and persistent bubbles.
On the nose – First notes of candied citrus (lime, pink grapefruit), followed by a hint of acacia blossom, then a mineral depth evoking damp chalk and a saline edge.
On the palate – A smooth yet taut texture, carried by a lively acidity and a chalky minerality that stretches into a saline and highly precise finish, leaving an impression of purity and length.
Serve between 8 and 10 °C, in a tall flute or a white wine glass to release its aromas.
2014 Vintage
A vintage marked by balanced ripeness and preserved freshness, ideal for expressing the mineral tension of the Corne Bautray terroir.
- Aging potential : To be kept for 10 to 15 years in a cool cellar away from light, to allow its complexity to fully develop.
