Yann Prophète Brut Nature 2010, from the chalky vineyards of the Aube, is a Chardonnay blanc de blancs aged on the lees. With no dosage, it delights with its minerality, citrus aromas and saline finish. Ideal for food pairings, with aging potential.
Nestled in the heart of the Côte des Bar, this family estate embodies the exacting standards of small-scale production, with each cuvée reflecting the authenticity of a little-known terroir.
- Terroir : The vines take root in the chalky soils of Landreville, in the Aube, where Chardonnay develops distinctive minerality and characteristic tension.
- Winemaking : Extended aging on the lees and no dosage produce brut nature champagnes that combine pure fruit with a precise, elegant structure.
Tasting notes for Yann Prophète Brut Nature 2010
- Appearance : A golden color with green highlights and silky clarity, enlivened by fine, persistent bubbles.
- On the nose : First, notes of candied citrus—lime and pink grapefruit—followed by toasted brioche, white flowers and subtle chalky salinity.
- On the palate : A lively, precise opening where mineral tension meets a creamy texture; the long, saline finish reveals the taut elegance typical of great blancs de blancs.
Serve between 8 and 10°C in a narrow champagne flute to preserve the freshness of its aromas.
2010 vintage
A vintage marked by balanced ripeness, with cool nights preserving Chardonnay’s vibrant acidity and giving this cuvée a structure ideal for aging.
- Aging potential : Cellar for 10 to 15 years in a cool place (12–14°C), away from light, to allow its mineral complexity to develop.
