Jacquesson Cuvée 748 Extra Brut, from the chalky soils of Aÿ and Avize, blends Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. Aged in large oak casks, it delivers notes of citrus, white fruits and a hint of brioche. On the palate, silky and taut, it combines freshness and minerality. Ideal with oysters.
A family house founded in 1798, Jacquesson embodies the exacting standards of Champagne – a heritage of precision and respect for the terroir, rooted at the heart of the Montagne de Reims and the Côte des Blancs.
- Terroir : Chalky and limestone soils of the Grands Crus (Avize, Aÿ) and Premiers Crus (Dizy, Hautvillers), where minerality expresses itself with rare elegance.
- Vinification : Aged in large oak casks, without filtration or fining, to preserve the purity of the reserve wines and the natural tension of the grape varieties.
- Appearance : Pale gold robe with green highlights, of a silky clarity, crossed by a fine cord of persistent bubbles.
- On the nose : Aromas of lime and crisp apple open onto notes of acacia blossom, then toasted brioche, before a saline touch reminiscent of the chalks of Avize.
- On the palate : A lively and precise attack, carried by a taut acidity and a chalky texture, stretching into a mineral and saline finish of elegant length.
Serve between 8 and 10°C, in a tall flute or a white wine glass to reveal its complexity.
A vintage marked by early ripeness and balance, where the coolness of August nights preserved the tension of the grapes.
- Ageing potential : Best kept for 5 to 8 years in a cool cellar (12–14°C), away from light, to allow its mineral nuances to fully develop.
