The Jacquesson Dizy Terres Rouges 2015, Blanc de Noirs Extra Brut from Dizy, reveals a Pinot Noir aged in barrels on a red limestone terroir. Black fruits, spices and minerality intertwine in a creamy and fresh palate. Ideal for 5 to 10 years of aging, it pairs with aperitifs and refined meals.
A family house founded in 1798, Jacquesson embodies the exacting standards of a Champagne terroir shaped by time and respect for the soils.
- Terroir: Vineyards in Grands Crus and Premiers Crus, rooted in the limestone hillsides of the Marne and the Côte des Blancs, where chalky soils and precise expositions sculpt the identity of the cuvées.
- Vinification: An artisanal and parcel-by-parcel approach, combining aging in oak barrels and vinification on lees to reveal the purity of the fruit and the minerality of the terroir.
Tasting notes for the wine Jacquesson Dizy Terres Rouges 2015
To the eye – Golden robe with copper highlights, of silky texture and crystalline brilliance that heralds a generous substance.
On the nose – Aromas of black cherry and wild blackberry intertwine with notes of liquorice, damp undergrowth and a saline touch reminiscent of sea spray, all carried by a chalky minerality.
On the palate – An ample and round attack, where the tangy tension marries a velvety texture, while spiced nuances and a persistent salinity extend a finish of remarkable length.
Serve between 10 and 12°C in a champagne flute or a white wine glass to enhance the aromas.
