R Pouillon Grande Vallée Extra Brut
Discover R. Pouillon Grande Vallée Extra Brut, an exceptional champagne from the family estate R. Pouillon & Fils, founded in 1947 in Mareuil-sur-Aÿ, in the Marne Valley. Managed by Fabrice Pouillon, this 7.7-hectare vineyard, cultivated using integrated farming methods, extends over prestigious terroirs such as Aÿ and Epernay.
This champagne blends 65% Pinot Noir, 20% Pinot Meunier and 15% Chardonnay, from chalky clay-limestone soils. Vinification follows the "Méthode Fabrice Pouillon", using exclusively the natural sugar in the grapes, with fermentation in barrels and enamelled vats, and aging of reserve wines in oak foudres. Minimum dosage of 2 g/l for brilliant freshness.
To the eye, its golden color reveals fine bubbles. On the nose, tasting notes offer a gourmet bouquet of acacia, honey and dried fruit, with hints of candied pear. On the palate, it seduces with its silky texture, perfectly balanced acidity and honeyed finish, combining almond and yellow fruit. Ideal as an aperitif or with grilled fish, this Grande Vallée embodies the elegance and finesse of the Pouillon style.
