The Bourgogne 2000 by Maison Leroy SA, drawn from Burgundy's limestone terroirs, offers a Pinot Noir with aromas of cherry and raspberry. On the palate, it captivates with its velvety texture and chalky minerality. Perfect with refined dishes or to be cellared for greater complexity.
Founded in 1868 in Auxey-Duresses, this family estate embodies Burgundian standards of excellence, combining tradition and precision in the respect of terroir.
- Terroir: Carefully selected plots in Burgundy, where clay-limestone soils and a temperate climate shape wines of mineral elegance.
- Vinification: An artisanal approach, prioritizing the pure expression of Pinot Noir, with measured aging to preserve freshness and complexity.
Tasting Notes for Maison Leroy SA Bourgogne 2000
To the eye – A garnet red robe with brick-tinged reflections, of a silky density, revealing a harmonious maturity.
On the nose – First notes of morello cherry and crunchy raspberry, followed by a hint of damp undergrowth, then a touch of liquorice and flint, evoking the chalky soils of Burgundy.
On the palate – A velvety texture, carried by a lively acidity and a saline minerality, stretching into a long and precise finish where dark fruits and soft spices intertwine.
Serve at 16°C in a Burgundy glass to reveal its full complexity.
Vintage 2000
A generous vintage, marked by a hot and sunny summer, yielding full-bodied and well-balanced wines where fruit ripeness blends with a silky tannin structure.
- Aging potential: Enjoyable now or to be cellared until 2025, under optimal conditions (stable temperature, away from light).
