Bourgogne Saint Martin 2022 from Domaine Marthe Henry, from clay-limestone soils, showcases the Pinot Noir. Aged 18 months in barrels, this wine reveals morello cherry, raspberry and violet. The palate, silky and mineral, captivates with its balance. Ideal with a terrine or poultry, from now on.
Nestled at the heart of Burgundy, this family estate perpetuates a winemaking heritage where respect for the terroir is paramount.
- Terroir: The Pinot Noir vines are rooted in the clay-limestone soils of Saint-Martin, giving the wine a chalky minerality and an elegance typical of the Burgundian hillsides.
- Winemaking: A natural approach, without additives or chemical yeasts, and patient aging in oak barrels to reveal the purity of the fruit and the tension of the terroir.
To the eye: Deep ruby robe with garnet highlights, of a silky and luminous texture.
On the nose: Aromas of fresh morello cherry, tangy raspberry and delicate violet, lifted by a saline touch and a hint of damp undergrowth.
On the palate: A lively and precise attack, carried by silky tannins and a taut acidity, with a mineral and slightly spiced finish of harmonious length.
Serve between 14 and 16°C in a Burgundy glass to release its nuances.
A vintage marked by a balanced ripeness, where freshness and concentration blend with elegance.
- Aging potential: To enjoy now or to keep 5 to 8 years in a cool cellar (12-14°C) and away from light.
