Joseph Roty Bourgogne Côte d'Or 2022 from Domaine Joseph Roty, crafted from declassified Pinot Noir from Marsannay. This wine, with its red fruit aromas and mineral touch, captivates with its lively freshness and silky texture. Ideal over the next 6 years alongside poultry or wild mushrooms.
Heir to a family winemaking tradition in the Côte de Nuits, Domaine Joseph Roty meticulously cultivates parcels steeped in history.
- Terroir: Clay-limestone soils of Marsannay and Gevrey-Chambertin, where the Pinot Noir draws its minerality and tension.
- Vinification: Aged in barrels for a precise expression, without artifice, where the fruit dialogues with the chalky structure.
To the eye: Ruby robe with garnet highlights, of a silky and luminous density.
On the nose: Freshness of morello cherry and raspberry, evolving towards notes of violet and liquorice, lifted by a saline and chalky touch.
On the palate: A lively and precise attack, where taut acidity envelops silky tannins, giving way to a mineral and persistent finish.
Serve between 14 and 16°C, in a Burgundy glass to release its aromas.
A vintage marked by generous maturity, where the summer heat preserved a beautiful aromatic freshness.
- Ageing potential: To be enjoyed by 2028, under cool and stable cellar conditions.
