The Marie Courtin Concordance Blanc de Noirs Extra Brut 2018, from Pinot Noir in Polisot, reveals a clay-limestone terroir. Aged on laths, this biodynamic zero-dosage champagne offers a deep minerality and a fine bubble. Ideal with oysters, to be enjoyed until 2028.
A family estate rooted in Polisot, in the Côte des Bar, where Dominique Moreau perpetuates a viticultural legacy oriented toward the purity of terroir.
- Terroir: Fifty-year-old vines planted on Kimmeridgian clay-limestone soils, east/southeast-facing, at the heart of a little-known yet generous appellation.
- Vinification: Natural method – indigenous yeasts, extended aging on laths, with no dosage or added sulfur – for champagnes of rare mineral tension.
Tasting notes for Marie Courtin Concordance Blanc de Noirs Extra Brut 2018
To the eye – A golden robe with green highlights, of crystalline clarity and a silky texture that heralds a dense and vibrant substance.
On the nose – Aromas of tart apple, elderflower and fresh hazelnut, followed by a saline touch and a hint of damp chalk, like an echo of Kimmeridgian soils.
On the palate – A precise and taut attack, carried by a lively acidity and a chalky minerality; the texture, both full and elegant, extends into a saline and persistent finish.
Serve between 8 and 10°C in a tall flute or a white wine glass to preserve its freshness and aromatic nuances.
