The Marie Courtin Présence Extra Brut 2020, from the chalky hillsides of Polisot, is a champagne of rare purity. A blend of 70% Chardonnay and 30% Pinot Blanc, this extra brut wine with no added sulfur offers a fine bubble and a lively acidity. Notes of green apple and biscuit, chalky minerality. Perfect with oysters or aged cheeses through 2030.
An artisanal estate rooted in Polisot, in the Côte des Bar, where Dominique Moreau perpetuates a legacy of rigor and respect for the living.
- Terroir: Chalky and clay-limestone soils of Champagne, shaping wines of vibrant minerality and rare purity.
- Vinification: Traditional method, without added sulfur, for biodynamic cuvées that are taut and without artifice.
Tasting notes for Marie Courtin Présence Extra Brut 2020
To the eye: A pale straw-yellow robe, of crystalline clarity, animated by a fine and persistent perlage, like a rain of light on chalk.
On the nose: Aromas of crisp apple and Williams pear mingle with notes of fresh mint and white flowers, before a saline touch and a hint of yeast reveal the depth of the terroir.
On the palate: A silky texture and lively tension, where nuances of toasted biscuit and candied fruit unfold, carried by a precise acidity and a chalky minerality, leading to a finish of saline and elegant length.
Serve between 6 and 8 °C, in a tall flute or a white wine glass to enhance its complexity.
