The Clos Vougeot Grand Cru Près le Cellier 2023 from Domaine Méo-Camuzet expresses the clay-limestone terroir of the Clos de Vougeot. This Pinot Noir, aged in barrels, reveals aromas of blackberry and spices. On the palate, silky and mineral, with a saline finish. To enjoy from 2028 with lamb or truffles.
Domaine Méo-Camuzet
A family estate rooted at the heart of the Côte de Nuits, where the demands of the terroir engage in dialogue with a centuries-old winemaking heritage.
- Terroir: Clay-limestone and marly soils of Vosne-Romanée and Vougeot, the cradle of Burgundy's grands crus, shaping wines of mineral depth and rare elegance.
- Winemaking: Aging in oak barrels, respecting natural cycles and seeking a pure expression of the Pinot Noir, between tension and silkiness.
Tasting Notes for Domaine Méo-Camuzet Clos Vougeot Près le Cellier 2023
Appearance: Deep purple robe with garnet hues, of a dense and luminous texture, heralding a generous and precise structure.
On the Nose: Aromas of black cherry and wild blackberry intertwine with notes of violet and liquorice, before giving way to a mineral, almost chalky touch evoking the limestone soils of the Clos.
On the Palate: A silky and fleshy attack, carried by a lively acidity and saline minerality that extends the finish into a long persistence, where gentle spices and melted tannins intertwine.
Serve at 16–18°C in a Burgundy glass to release its full complexity.
Vintage 2023
A vintage marked by optimal ripeness of the grapes, offering a perfect balance between concentration and freshness.
- Aging Potential: 15 to 20 years, to be stored in a cool cellar (12–14°C) away from vibrations.
