The Pichon Comtesse de Lalande 1986, a fine wine from Pauillac, is born on Médoc gravels. This vintage, aged in barrels, captivates with its notes of blackcurrant, leather and spices, a velvety texture and a mineral finish. Perfect for cellaring (2040), it pairs with game and aged cheeses.
Nestled in the heart of Pauillac, this historic estate has embodied Bordeaux elegance for centuries, combining family tradition and viticultural precision.
- Terroir: Deep gravels and calcareous clays of Pauillac, giving the wines a mineral structure and a classic nobility.
- Vinification: A meticulous blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and other grape varieties, aged in oak barrels for a silky and complex harmony.
To the eye: a garnet robe with tawny reflections, dense and velvety, betraying an accomplished maturity and a smooth texture.
On the nose: aromas of candied blackcurrant intertwine with notes of blond tobacco, aged leather and black truffle, lifted by a saline touch and a hint of cedar.
On the palate: a full and fleshy attack, carried by a lively acidity and a chalky minerality, before a long and persistent finish where soft spices and melted tannins intertwine.
Serve at 16-18°C in a Bordeaux glass to release its full complexity.
A vintage marked by slow maturity and a rare balance, offering wines with a robust structure and remarkable aging potential.
- Aging potential: 20 to 30 additional years, to be stored in a cool cellar (12-14°C) away from light.
