The Château Lynch-Bages 1997, a fine wine from Pauillac, comes from the gravelly soils of the Médoc. This Cinquième Cru Classé, based on Cabernet Sauvignon, offers notes of cedar, blackcurrant and spices, refined in oak barrels. Ripe tannins and minerality on the palate: ideal with game or cheese.

Tasting notes for Château Lynch-Bages Lynch Bages 1997
To the eye – A garnet red robe with tawny highlights, of a silky density and a brilliance subtly veiled by time.
On the nose – A bouquet where candied blackcurrant and wild blackberry intertwine first, followed by notes of toasted cedar, blonde tobacco and a saline touch, like a sea breeze over the gravelly soils.
On the palate – A velvety texture, carried by a lively acidity and a chalky minerality, where the silky tannins give way to a long, spiced finish, marked by accents of liquorice and undergrowth.
Serve between 16 and 18°C, in a Bordeaux glass to release its full complexity.
