The Château Lafite Rothschild 2015, sourced from the Graves of Pauillac, blends Cabernet Sauvignon (91%) and Merlot (9%). Its notes of blackcurrant, graphite and tobacco, aged in new barrels, precede a silky and mineral palate. Perfect for cellaring until 2040, it pairs beautifully with lamb or aged cheese.
Nestled in the heart of Pauillac, this legendary estate has embodied Bordeaux excellence for centuries, combining family heritage and mastery of an exceptional terroir.
- Terroir : Fine Graves and limestone subsoil of Pauillac, where the gravelly soils sculpt wines of mineral elegance and rare depth.
- Vinification : Rigorous parcel selection, aging in new oak barrels and patience to reveal the purity of the fruit and the complexity of the tannins.
Tasting Notes for Château Lafite Rothschild 2015
To the eye – A deep red robe with garnet reflections, of silky density and crystalline brilliance, heralding material that is both generous and precise.
On the nose – First, notes of fresh blackcurrant and wild blackberry, followed by a hint of cedar and graphite, before giving way to a subtle mineral salinity and a touch of blonde tobacco.
On the palate – A velvety texture, carried by chalky-fine tannins, a lively acidity and a persistent minerality; the finish, long and elegant, leaves an impression of liquorice and gentle spices.
Serve at 16–18°C in a Bordeaux glass to release its full complexity.
Vintage 2015
A sun-drenched and well-balanced vintage, where the ripeness of the fruit meets a mineral freshness characteristic of the great Pauillacs.
- Aging Potential : To be cellared for 20 to 30 years in a cool cellar (12–14°C) away from vibrations, to allow its complexity to fully blossom over time.
