Tasting Notes for Château Lafite Rothschild 2015
To the eye – A deep red robe with garnet reflections, of silky density and crystalline brilliance, heralding material that is both generous and precise.
On the nose – First, notes of fresh blackcurrant and wild blackberry, followed by a hint of cedar and graphite, before giving way to a subtle mineral salinity and a touch of blonde tobacco.
On the palate – A velvety texture, carried by chalky-fine tannins, a lively acidity and a persistent minerality; the finish, long and elegant, leaves an impression of liquorice and gentle spices.
Serve at 16–18°C in a Bordeaux glass to release its full complexity.

A sun-drenched and well-balanced vintage, where the ripeness of the fruit meets a mineral freshness characteristic of the great Pauillacs.
- Aging Potential : To be cellared for 20 to 30 years in a cool cellar (12–14°C) away from vibrations, to allow its complexity to fully blossom over time.
