The Château Lafite Rothschild 2017, born from the gravels and limestone of Pauillac, is a Premier Grand Cru Classé. At 97% Cabernet Sauvignon, aged in new barrels, it reveals notes of cedar and mint. Its palate, silky and mineral, captivates with its balance. Perfect from 2025 onwards with red meats.
Heir to a winemaking tradition dating back to 1620, this mythical estate embodies the excellence of Pauillac, where the terroir shapes wines of timeless elegance.
- Terroir : Fine gravels and limestone subsoil of Pauillac, an exceptional soil that lends the wines their distinctive minerality and refined structure.
- Vinification : A precise blend dominated by Cabernet Sauvignon, aged 15 months in French oak barrels for a harmonious balance between power and finesse.
Tasting notes for Château Lafite-Rothschild 2017
- To the eye : A deep garnet robe of silky density, where light is reflected with velvety intensity.
- On the nose : First, fresh aromas of blackcurrant and blackberry, followed by deeper notes of cedar and blonde tobacco, lifted by a saline touch and a hint of wild mint.
- On the palate : A dense and precise texture, carried by a lively acidity and a chalky minerality, stretching into a long, taut finish where gentle spices and silky tannins intertwine.
Serve at 16-18°C in a Bordeaux glass to unlock its full complexity.
