The Morey-Blanc Meursault 1990, born on the clay-limestone terroirs of Meursault, is a Chardonnay with aromas of toasted bread and white fruits. Its palate, unctuous and mineral, captivates with its freshness. Perfect with cream-based poultry dishes or scallops, to drink now or to cellar.
An exceptional négociant born under the impetus of Pierre Morey, this estate perpetuates the exacting standards of great Burgundy wines, rooted in the terroirs of the Côte de Beaune.
- Terroir: Meursault and its clay-limestone soils, the cradle of Chardonnays with a chalky minerality and rare elegance.
- Vinification: Rigorous methods, controlled aging for precise cuvées, where tension competes with complexity.
Tasting notes for Morey-Blanc Meursault 1990
To the eye: A golden robe with old-gold highlights, of a silky and slightly unctuous texture, betraying a fully accomplished maturity.
On the nose: Aromas of dried white flowers, roasted hazelnuts, acacia honey and a hint of smoky flint, carried by a discreet yet persistent saline minerality.
On the palate: A lively and precise attack, underpinned by a taut acidity that balances a rich and buttery texture, while a chalky, saline finish prolongs the tasting experience with elegance.
Serve between 12 and 14°C in a Burgundy glass to reveal its full purity.
Vintage 1990
A sunny and generous vintage, where the summer heat ripened the Chardonnays without diminishing their tension, yielding wines that are both rich and well-balanced.
- Aging potential: Drink now or cellar for another 5 to 10 years under optimal conditions (cool cellar, away from light).
