The Morey-Blanc Meursault 1990, born from the clay-limestone terroirs of Meursault, is a Chardonnay aged in oak barrels. Notes of dried fruits and honey, with a velvety and mineral palate. Ideal with shellfish or refined dishes.
An exceptional négociant born from the vision of Pierre Morey, this estate embodies the elegance of Meursault wines, blending Burgundian tradition with a rigorous selection of terroirs.
- Terroir: The limestone hillsides of Meursault, with their chalky and well-drained soils, impart a distinctive minerality and refined tension to the wines.
- Winemaking: Aging in oak barrels, respect for natural cycles and the pursuit of a pure expression of Chardonnay, without artifice.
Tasting notes for the Morey-Blanc Meursault 1990
To the eye: Golden robe with amber highlights, of a silky and slightly unctuous density, betraying an accomplished maturity.
On the nose: Aromas of roasted hazelnut, acacia honey and dried flowers, lifted by a saline touch and a hint of flint, the hallmark of great Meursault wines.
On the palate: Velvety texture, balanced by a lively acidity and a chalky minerality, with a long and persistent finish where soft spices and buttery notes intertwine.
Serve at 12–14°C in a Burgundy glass to reveal its full complexity.
Vintage 1990
A sunny and generous vintage, marked by optimal grape ripeness, yielding wines that are both rich and well-balanced.
- Aging potential: This wine, already at peak maturity, can still be cellared for 5 to 10 years under ideal conditions (cool cellar, away from light and vibrations).
