The Château Pontet-Canet 2021, Pauillac 5th Grand Cru Classé, is born from a gravelly terroir. A blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (58%) and Merlot, aged in barrels and amphoras, it reveals aromas of dark fruits and spices. On the palate, silky texture and minerality combine with elegant tannins. Enjoy now or keep until 2035 with red meats or cheeses.
An iconic estate in Pauillac, classified 5ᵉ Grand Cru in 1855, combining historical heritage with pioneering commitment to biodynamics.
- Terroir: 81 hectares of deep gravel soils in the Pauillac appellation, with excellent drainage and ideal exposure for optimal ripening of the grape varieties.
- Vinification: Meticulous aging in new oak barrels, concrete amphoras and second-wine casks, producing wines of remarkable purity and precision.
Tasting notes for Château Pontet-Canet 2021
To the eye: a deep red robe with garnet reflections, of silky density and a mineral brilliance.
On the nose: aromas of fresh blackcurrant and wild blackberry, followed by notes of cedar, graphite and a saline touch reminiscent of Atlantic breezes.
On the palate: a velvety texture, carried by a lively acidity and a chalky minerality, with a long and elegant finish marked by fine tannins and harmonious tension.
Serve at 16–18°C in a Bordeaux glass to fully release its aromas.

A vintage of balance and freshness, where biodynamic farming allowed the full purity of the Pauillac terroir to be expressed.
- Aging potential: 15 to 20 years, to be stored under optimal conditions (stable temperature, controlled humidity).
