Tasting notes for Château Rayas Rayas 1998
To the eye: Garnet red robe with tawny highlights, of a velvety density and subtle brilliance.
On the nose: Aromas of candied black cherry, Mediterranean garrigue, soft spices and liquorice, lifted by a saline touch and a hint of undergrowth.
On the palate: Silky and enveloping texture, carried by a lively acidity and chalky minerality, with a long and harmonious finish marked by notes of ripe fruit and spices.
Serve at 16–18°C in a Bordeaux-style red wine glass to fully release its aromas.

A vintage marked by optimal grape maturity, yielding structured and balanced wines in which Grenache reveals its full complexity.
- Aging potential: Best kept until 2028 under optimal conditions (stable temperature, controlled humidity, and away from light).
