A family estate rooted in the sands of Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Château Rayas perpetuates a viticultural heritage where Grenache reigns supreme.
- Terroir: The appellation's unique sandy soils, bathed in a Mediterranean climate, shaping wines of rare finesse and distinctive minerality.
- Winemaking: Aging without new oak barrels, favoring the purity of the fruit and the natural expression of the grape variety, for cuvées of timeless elegance.
Tasting notes for Château Rayas Rayas 2009
To the eye: A deep, dense and luminous ruby red robe with purple reflections heralding a silky texture and generous substance.
On the nose: Aromas of fresh raspberry and black cherry mingle with notes of sweet licorice, violet and fine spices, lifted by a saline and chalky touch.
On the palate: A velvety attack, carried by a lively acidity and subtle minerality, stretching into a long and taut finish where tannins of rare elegance unfold.
Serve between 16 and 18°C in a Bordeaux-style red wine glass to reveal its full complexity.

A sunny and balanced vintage, where the summer heat ripened the grapes without compromising their freshness, yielding a wine that is both powerful and harmonious.
