A family estate rooted in Châteauneuf-du-Pape since 1880, Château Rayas embodies the exacting standards of an exceptional terroir and a winemaking approach that preserves the purity of the fruit.
- Terroir: Sandy soils and rounded pebbles of Châteauneuf-du-Pape, imparting a unique minerality and natural elegance to the wines.
- Winemaking: Traditional methods, aging in large oak casks for a faithful expression of Grenache, without artifice.
Tasting notes for Château Rayas Rayas 2011
To the eye: Deep garnet robe with tawny reflections, of a silky and luminous texture.
On the nose: Aromas of ripe morello cherry, wild blackberry, sweet licorice and thyme, lifted by a saline touch and a hint of graphite.
On the palate: Velvety attack, lively acidity and chalky minerality, carried by an elegant tension and a long, remarkably pure finish.
Serve at 16–18°C in a Bordeaux-style red wine glass to release its full complexity.

A vintage marked by balanced ripeness, where freshness and concentration combine to offer a wine of great precision.
- Aging potential: 15 to 20 years, to be stored under optimal conditions (stable temperature, controlled humidity).
