Val Frison L'Éclos de la Côte Zéro Dosage 2016, a brut nature champagne made from 100% Pinot Noir, comes from the chalky soils of Ville-sur-Arce. Aged in barrels, it reveals red fruit notes and flinty minerality. Its lively, saline palate pairs with white meats or elegant appetizers.
A family estate rooted in the Côte des Bar, where Pinot Noir thrives on chalky soils, shaping champagnes of rare purity.
- Terroir: 6 hectares in Ville-sur-Arce, on the clay-limestone slopes of the Côte des Bar, the cradle of Pinot Noir in Champagne.
- Winemaking: Natural methods, aging in oak barrels and on the lees, for unadorned cuvées, certified organic since 2003.
Tasting notes for Val Frison L'Éclos de la Côte Zéro Dosage 2016
Appearance – A pale gold hue, threaded with a stream of fine, persistent bubbles, like liquid silk reaching toward the light.
Nose – First, the tart freshness of raspberry and cherry, then floral notes of peony, before a mineral touch of flint lends the whole a saline depth.
Palate – A vinous, silky texture underpinned by lively, precise acidity, while chalky minerality shapes a long finish mingling candied lemon with a hint of sweet spice.
Serve between 8 and 10°C in a champagne flute or white wine glass to reveal its full complexity.
